Women IN God's Service
Immanuel's women's organization built on the love for and the love of Jesus Christ. We work together, play together, laugh and cry together, contributing to God's world in many different ways - and we have a whole lot of fun doing it! This women's organization, though having changed names several times, has been contributing to our community locally and throughout the world for over 150 years and continues to do just that to this day.
WINGS is a mission oriented group providing service to our local and global community, as well as nurturing the family of Immanuel itself. In the past, WINGS contributed over six thousand dollars to various needs including The Salvation Army, Eastside Ministry, Penrickton Blind School, Lighthouse Outreach Center, Solid Ground Transition Home & Turning Point Shelter for abused women and children. Aside from monetary donations mentioned above, we also have in-gathering projects continually thruout each year such as paper-goods drives, school supply drives, shoe box gifts for kids, and many more.
If you want a firm support foundation in your life, this women's group surrounds you with support, encouraging friendship, fellowship, and service. We have 3 sub-groups of WINGS meeting at times listed here to make it easy to choose one that fits your schedule. The general WINGS meeting is held once every month to compare notes and plan for future fun and service. Every circle meeting has a devotions time, prayer time and of course, wonderful snacks! All meetings are currently held at Immanuel.
Regular Meeting schedules are as follows:
Sandpipers - 12:30 pm - 3rd Monday of each month
Hummingbirds - 7:00 pm - 4th Tuesday of each month
WINGS general & leadership meeting - 7:00 pm - 1st Thursday of each month
