      Bears for Babes

Over the past nine years, the people of Immanuel have distributed hundreds of new teddy bears to children in various shelters.  Currently, we are in need of cuddly characters to take to the boys and girls at the Methodist Children's Home Society and at Turning Point.  If you are able to donate a stuffed animal (remember, state law requires them to be new, so please leave the tags on the animal), please offer a hug and a prayer as you place it under the "Giving Tree" in the parlor.

Scarves, Hats, & Mittens

As cold weather sets in this fall we need to be mindful of all those who are homeless and don't own a pair of gloves, a hat, or even have a second pair of socks.  Even the folks who come to our food pantry are in need of these items.  If you are able to help with this mission project, simply place your donations of gloves, hates, scarves, and socks on the "Giving Tree" in the parlor.  (Items are needed for men, women, and children)  We will make sure the items are distributed where most needed.  Thank you for caring.

Go Green!

This month, in an effort to persuade everyone to take another small step toward environment conservation, we're challenging you to use cloth bags when shopping.  Please, do your best to no longer accept plastic or paper bags.  invest in a few cloth bags ($1 each) and keep them in your vehicle in a handy location so you won't forget to use them. (Kroger rewards you by deducting 5 cents for every cloth bag you fill- every bit off your bill helps.)

At Immanuel, we'll help you find a way to make a difference!
