SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with pleasure to announce that Bishop Jonathon Keaton has appointed
Rev. Carolyn Floyd
to Immanuel United Methodist Church as our interim pastor,
effective January 15th through June 30, 2012.

Rev. Floyd is a retired pastor whose home is in Port Huron. She has two daughters and a son, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her seminary education is from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. After seminary, she served a one-year chaplaincy internship at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
Later she was a member of the West Michigan Conference of the United Methodist Church in which she served four appointments. She retired two years earlier than she originally planned to care for her elderly mother who passed away in December 2010.

Pastor Carol will be with Immanuel on Sunday, January 15th and looks forward
to her ministry with us over the next six months.

We now have a parent notification system for use during worship and other programs!
Through the generosity of a number of Immanuel's families, we have purchased a parent notification system and 15 pagers.
Now our child care providers are able to contact parents while caring for our children.
Immanuel is committed to our children and safety and our parent notification system is another example of the compassion of our members!
