We are very excited about this new rotational Sunday School program.
The same Bible story or theme is taught for several weeks, but each week the children encounter the story or theme in different ways (art, computers, cooking, games, music, science, storytelling and video), which reinforces it in their memories.

March 2011
Theme: Lost and Found
Bible Reference: Parable of the Lost Coin and Forgiving Father
Our kids embark on a new learning adventure in Sunday School. They encounter Jesus’ teachings through the parables of the Lost Sheep, the Lost Coin and the Forgiving Father (Luke 15). Our kids will experience these timeless stories of God’s grace in many ways. They will also learn that through these stories, Jesus teaches us that God’s love is always there for us, no matter where we go or what we do. This month’s learning adventure takes place in the midst of our combination pasture, pig pen and home- papenome. There, our kids will learn how God rejoices when those who are lost are found. If you would like to hear more about the Lost and Found parables, speak with any of our kids, they will be glad to share everything they learn

February 2011
Theme: Good Samaritan
Bible Reference: Parable of the Good Samaritan
Our kids will learn how the Good Samaritan helped a traveler who had been robbed, beaten, and left for dead. They will also learn that through the Good Samaritan's story, Jesus teaches us to love God and our neighbor. This month's learning adventure takes place in our small version of the global community, which features maps, globes, pictures, artifacts and information about our world. There, our kids will experence being a good neighbor and will have the opportunity to answer for themselves-"Who is my neighbor?"
Mission Activity: Safety Kits for those we serve in our food pantry mission

January 2011
Theme: Rebekah
Bible Reference: Isaiah 43:10
Bible Verse: My People, you are my witnesses and my chosen servant, I want you to know me, to trust me, and understand that I alone am God. I have always been God: there can be no others.
Focus: Hospitality and Kindness
Mission Activity: Purchasing a share of a camel in Tanzania
In Tanzania and other parts of the world too dry for livestock, camels provide transportation and produce milk that families can drink or sell. Our children's offering will be combined with the gifts of others by Heifer International's Camel program, which provides camels and training in their care to impoverished families in places like Tanzania.
